Mrs Ekaterini Hadjitheodorou (Marinou)
Kyria Katerina dedicated more than 15 years to teaching in the Greek Department at SAHETI School. Through her commitment to the Greek language and education, she played a valued role in the lives of the many pupils she taught in both the Primary and High School.
Following her years at SAHETI, she continued sharing her knowledge and passion for teaching through private lessons and also taught as part of the SAHETI Support Plan on Saturdays. She later made her home in Kalymnos, Greece, returning to her roots. Her connection to SAHETI was also a family one, as her son, Aristos, attended and matriculated (Class of 2005) at the school.
Kyria Katerina will be remembered with fondness by former colleagues and the many pupils who had the privilege of being taught by her. Her contribution to nurturing and enriching the Greek spirit at SAHETI will always be valued.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her sons, Mike and Aristos, her grandchildren and all her family and friends.

🎄 A Beautiful SAHETI Tradition 🎄
Our annual Grade 7 Christmas Tree has once again brought the spirit of the festive season to our School. Beautifully decorated in blue, white and silver, it captures the warmth and joy of Kalanda and the traditions that make our SAHETI community so special.
A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful Grade 7 moms, Iman Mirza, Dr Riann Christian, Lulu Antoniadou, Lauren Giannacopoulos, Maria Morfou, Stef Bove, Irene Morfou, Helen Apostolellis, Bianca Hajiphilippou, Cheri Lamberti, Debbie Livanos and Clara Muanza, for generously giving their time, creativity and care to create something so beautiful for our school.

28 October – A Day of Honour, Dignity and Remembrance
Today, the SAHETI family came together to commemorate “OXI” Day, honouring the courage of the Greek people who, on 28 October 1940, stood firm in defence of their freedom, dignity and national honour.
Through traditional Greek dances, classical Greek dances, dramatizations, poems, songs and the sounds of the bouzouki, our pupils brought the spirit of this historic day to life, paying tribute to those who fought, suffered and sacrificed so that future generations could live in freedom.
At SAHETI, the preservation and promotion of Hellenic language, history and culture are at the heart of who we are. “OXI” Day is not simply a historical anniversary; it is an enduring reminder that freedom must never be taken for granted and that courage, dignity and the willingness to stand up for what is right remain timeless values.
28 Οκτωβρίου – Μια Ημέρα Τιμής, Αξιοπρέπειας και Μνήμης
Σήμερα, η οικογένεια του ΣΑΧΕΤΙ συγκεντρώθηκε για να τιμήσει την επέτειο του «ΟΧΙ», αποτίοντας φόρο τιμής στο θάρρος του ελληνικού λαού, ο οποίος στις 28 Οκτωβρίου 1940 στάθηκε ακλόνητος στην υπεράσπιση της ελευθερίας, της αξιοπρέπειας και της εθνικής του τιμής.
Μέσα από παραδοσιακούς ελληνικούς χορούς, κλασικούς ελληνικούς χορούς, θεατρικά δρώμενα, ποιήματα, τραγούδια και τους ήχους του μπουζουκιού, οι μαθητές μας ζωντάνεψαν το πνεύμα αυτής της ιστορικής ημέρας, τιμώντας τις θυσίες όσων αγωνίστηκαν, υπέφεραν και θυσιάστηκαν, ώστε οι επόμενες γενιές να μπορούν να ζουν ελεύθερες.
Στη Σχολή ΣΑΧΕΤΙ, η διατήρηση και η προώθηση της ελληνικής γλώσσας, της ιστορίας και του πολιτισμού βρίσκονται στον πυρήνα της ταυτότητάς μας. Η επέτειος του «ΟΧΙ» δεν αποτελεί απλώς μια ιστορική επέτειο· αποτελεί μια διαχρονική υπενθύμιση ότι η ελευθερία δεν είναι ποτέ δεδομένη και ότι το θάρρος, η αξιοπρέπεια και η δύναμη να υπερασπιζόμαστε το δίκαιο παραμένουν αξίες διαχρονικές.
