SAHETI School is an English-medium, independent school dedicated to the pursuit of excellence, whilst promoting the ethos and values of Hellenism.
The school motto “Know Thyself”, founded in ancient Greek thought, is at the core of the school’s ethos. Self-awareness is viewed as the starting point in every pupil’s life, without which human potential cannot be realized. From an early age, children are encouraged to discover and build on their unique strengths. This basic requirement for success is what sets SAHETIANS apart as confident, independent thinkers and keen team workers.
The school motto, ‘Know Thyself’ dates back to ancient Greece and was expounded upon by the likes of Socrates. For me it speaks to the need for self-reflection, through which we will begin to understand our need for God and our dependence on each other. I believe that a good understanding of self will also spur us on as individuals towards training our bodies, mind and character so that we may maximise our God given potential and fulfil the calling upon our lives.
– Mr Warwick Taylor (Former Executive Headmaster 2014 – 2022)
