Valedictory Dinner - 24 October 2019

SAHETI's Class of 2019 received 242 distinctions - an impressive 3,4 distinction rate per candidate - in the IEB National Senior Certificate examinations. Full house distinctions were earned by no less than five candidates, in nine and eight subjects, with average marks of over 90% in many cases. Of the 71 pupils, 30% achieved six or more distinctions. 35,2% of the group achieved a distinction average.

Annually, SAHETIANS strive to be ranked in the top 1% of their subjects nationally: this is a challenging goal but proudly 20 SAHETIANS were ranked in the top 1% in:

- Business Studies (2 SAHETIANS out of 4 821)
- English (8 SAHETIANS out of 10 984)
- Life Orientation (5 SAHETIANS out of 11 818)
- Mathematics (4 SAHETIANS out of 7 459)
- Modern Greek (1 SAHETIAN out of 35)

SAHETI School continues to drive excellence at all levels, mindful of the importance this holds as a gateway to tertiary study and career choice, while establishing an awareness and sense of pride in students knowing themselves and what they are capable of achieving. This self-belief is viewed as critical to success and personal fulfilment.

Leonidas Kapoutsis achieved a full house of nine distinctions, seven of which are marks in the A+ category and the highest average (93%) at SAHETI. He has been named an outstanding achiever by the IEB, ranking within the top 5% of IEB candidates nationally in six or more subjects.

Eleni Hajimarkos achieved a full house of nine distinctions, seven of which are marks in the A+ category and the second highest average (91%) at SAHETI. She has been named a commendable achiever by the IEB, ranking within the top 5% of IEB candidates nationally in five or more subjects.

Christina Marinakos achieved a full house of nine distinctions, three of which are marks in the A+ category and an average of 89%.

Socrati Balassis achieved a full house of nine distinctions, three of which are marks in the A+ category and an average of 86%.

Erietta Pinelope Ktena achieved a full house of eight distinctions, three of which are marks in the A+ category and an average of 90%. She has been named an outstanding achiever by the IEB, ranking within the top 5% of IEB candidates nationally in six or more subjects

Antonio Aristides achieved eight distinctions and has been named a commendable achiever by the IEB, ranking within the top 5% of IEB candidates nationally in five or more subjects.

Nektarios Hajiyianni, Christiana Kassimatis and Markos Klapsinos achieved eight distinctions.

Costantinos Hagios, Kiara Moodley, Zimo Peng, Melusi Sibanyoni and Amiel Thanarayen achieved seven distinctions.

46 other pupils achieved between one and six distinctions.
