Elizabeth Sidiropoulos is a Saheti alumna and served on the board from 1994 to 2002 first as Honorary Secretary and subsequently as Vice Chair responsible for Modern Greek. In that position she worked closely on the pilot phase of the University of Crete project on Greek as a second language. She rejoined the board in 2010 as Vice Chair for Greek, a position she held until 2014. In 2016 she was elected deputy chair of the Board responsible for Greek. She is chief executive of the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), an independent foreign policy think‐tank.
