Sport Overview
 

A perfect milieu to encourage tolerance, sportsmanship, teamwork and the finest qualities of character, SAHETI encourages its scholars to participate in sport.
 
SAHETI has an outstanding administrative sporting structure which is unique. The sport staff are employed full time and are involved in sport as well as the teaching of Skills development which forms part of the Life Orientation curriculum .

Pupils are provided with specialized coaching by professionals in each of their fields for both boys and girls in the Primary and High School.

Coaching is available for all pupils with the emphasis on skills training. We strive to develop our pupils holistically with progressive ideas and creating opportunities for the future.

In the Primary and High School there are four Head coaches who are responsible for their particular sporting activity.
Additional coaches are appointed and guided by the Head Coaches to ensure that all the pupils receive the best possible coaching experience. The Head Coaches are also responsible for teaching during the Physical Education periods. Here the improvement of all sporting skills and the evaluation of development form the basis of a very well enriched educational experience.

  • Two cricket fields

  • Two rugby fields

  • Six netball courts

  • Three soccer fields

  • Swimming pool with 10 lanes ( 25m x 25m)

  • Six tennis courts

  • Two volleyball courts

In addition SAHETI has the use of the Greek Sporting Club's facilities, which include two soccer fields, two basketball, two volleyball and four tennis courts.
