Susan Holland qualified with a B.Sc. (Occupational Therapy) at the University of Cape Town in 2008 and went on to complete an M.Sc. (Early Childhood Intervention) cum laude at the University of Pretoria. She worked in the Tembisa community for several years as part of a team servicing multiple clinics, and thereafter went on to specializing in paediatrics. She now works with pre-primary and primary school children addressing concerns with motor skills, muscle tone and strength, sensory processing, behaviour and socio-emotional development and perceptual skills. Susan is specifically interested in providing support to children within the context of the family and in relation to demands and skills specific to each individual. It enables empowerment of individuals, families and communities by helping them use their strengths and assets to overcome obstacles. It is solution rather than problem based, which provides impetus to develop positive and creative thinking.
