The school follows procedures in terms of section 9 of the Schools Act, Act No. 84 of 1996.
All scholars and their parents are expected to sign the Pledge which includes the following rights, responsibilities and rules.
The main guideline for the Code of Conduct is that human rights should underpin all human relationships and from the foundation of human behaviour in that it:
- encourages scholars to become more informed about their rights and duties towards others;
- creates an environment conducive to teaching and learning;
- cultivates respect for the rights of others;
- cultivates respect for individual differences;
- protects individuals and groups against inhumane treatment;
- contributes to the development of a just, democratic society.
