SAHETI Primary School hosted the 5th annual Winter Festival on 5 June. Eight schools were invited and with the Soccer World Cup kicking off on 11 June, the schools represented different countries: Marian College - Portugal, Sacred Heart - England, Reddam House - Brazil, Hurlyvale Primary School - South Africa, Woodhill College - Italy, Jan Celliers & Wendywood Primary School - Germany, Cornwall Hill & Edenglen Primary School - Spain and SAHETI School - Greece.
Our Soccer and Netball teams did us proud and played exceptionally well. In the Plate competition, the U10 Netball team was crowned as the winners as well as the U11 and 12 Soccer teams. In the Cup competition, the U12 Netball team was the runner up and Maria Prokas was awarded as the Best U10 player. In the Soccer the U9, 10 and 13 teams were crowned as winners. Stefanie Nicolaides was the best U12 Netball player and Panayoti Ladas was the best U12 Soccer player of the Festival. The floating netball trophy was won by Spain from Cornwall Hill in Pretoria and the best Soccer school was named as SAHETI.
