SAHETI School's annual Rugby Sevens Festival initiated the winter sport season on Saturday 19 February, with 34 rugby teams competing in the U/16 and U/19 age groups.

The participating schools were: Alberton High, Bracken High, Florida Park High, Highlands North, Kempton Park, Krugersdorp High, Mondeor High, Reddam, Bishop Bavin, Hoerskool Alberton, Hoerskool Kempton Park, Marian College, Pecanwood College, Dominican Convent, St Benedict’s College and SAHETI.

The usual sevens format applied, with teams playing pool games which were followed by bowl, shield and championship sections.

The Netball festival was postponed due to the rain and will be held on Saturday 7 May.

The rugby results are as follows: U16 Finals - Shield: Alberton High 25 - Reddam House 0 and Championship: Monument A 21 - Monument B 0
