SAHETI’s Primary School chess team has won the Championship league of the Gauteng South Chess Association. The team played – and won – eight matches against other top chess playing schools that participate in this league. As winners, SAHETI hosted the prizegiving function for the finalists, at which  the Association’s President, Gerri Engelman officiated. Proudly sporting their trophy are: Victor Spirou, Ioanni Balassis, Niko Thomadakis, Declan O’Connor, William van Straten, Pano Hadjipaschalis, Marko Komninos and Orvin Spirou.
